We do not sell personal information. We do not use emergency location, audio, video, photo or alert data for advertising or unrelated marketing purposes.
6. User Consent and Control
You can manage App permissions through your device settings, including location, camera, microphone and notifications. Revoking these permissions may significantly limit the App's ability to protect you during an emergency.
Depending on your account configuration, some monitoring services may be enabled or managed by your organization, security provider or monitoring center. If your access is provided by an organization, that organization may also define how the service is configured and used.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information, alert records, location history and multimedia evidence only for as long as necessary to provide the service, support emergency response, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain audit records and protect the security of the platform.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the applicable legal requirements, the monitoring agreement and operational safety needs.
8. Data Security
We implement administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These measures may include access controls, secure communications, monitoring, logging and operational security procedures.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. However, we work to protect personal information using measures appropriate to the nature of the data and the emergency services provided by the App.
9. International Data Processing
Depending on your location, the location of the monitoring center, the SoftGuard platform and our service providers, your information may be processed or stored in countries other than your country of residence. Where required, we apply appropriate safeguards to protect personal information when it is transferred or processed internationally.
10. Children’s Privacy
SecureLink SOS is not directed to children under the minimum age required by applicable law. If the App is used by a minor as part of a family, school, business, community or security program, the account must be configured and authorized by a parent, guardian or responsible organization as required by applicable law.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information without the required authorization, please contact us so that we can review the situation and take appropriate action.
11. Your Privacy Rights and Data Deletion
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information. You may also request information about how your data is processed or object to certain processing activities where legally available.
To request account or data deletion, please contact us using the contact details below. We may need to verify your identity before processing the request. Some information may be retained where required for legal, safety, security, audit or emergency response purposes.
12. Third-Party Services and Platform Providers
The App may rely on third-party operating system services and technical providers, such as Apple or Google platform services for app distribution, push notifications, crash diagnostics or device-level permissions. These services are governed by their own privacy terms and platform rules.
Where third-party providers process information on our behalf, we require them to use the information only to provide and support the SecureLink SOS service and to protect it using appropriate security measures.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, legal requirements or our data practices. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
